I can think of several use cases for a quadruped robot dog at home. 1. Elderly or Disability Assistance. A quadruped robot dog can help elderly people to fetch things from far and carry heavy things, which should be helpful for elderly people or people with disability. 2. Security. A robot dog will be helpful to watch the door and alert any possible theft or intrusion. Especially when at night, the quadruped robot dog need to be charged and at the same time it can help watch the house. 3. Playing with Children. This is the same as how children play with real dogs, following orders, fetching balls, etc.
