• 1.1 Hands have sharp edges

  If the hour and minute hands of rolex watches have sharp edge without blurs, it's real. If the hour and minute hands have rags on the edge and not clean enough, it's fake.

  

• 1.2 Letters engraved inside panel are deep and clear

  If the letters engraved inside the panel are deep and clean, it's real. Otherwise if the letters is shallow and shows the sign of laser inscription, it's fake.

  

• 1.3 Check the shape of crown

  If the crown logo of rolex watch has small round shape, it's real. Otherwise if it's flattened or very large it's fake rolex watch.

  

• 1.4 Calendar of rolex watch will flash instantly

  When you adjust the hour hand of rolex watch and it passes 12 o'clock, the date of calendar will quickly flash to the next date without showing partial data, then it's real. Otherwise, if the date slowly change to the next date when the hour hand are turned starting from the 10 o'clock, it's fake. Check details in the video.

  

• 1.5 Check the weight of the watch

  You can easily tell if a rolex watch is real or fake by its weight. If the watch is made of real materials and inner movement, namely 904L steel for the case and belt, real Swiss made movement, the feel of holding the watch should be quite heavy. Otherwise if it feels light to hold the watch, it will have higher chance that it's fake.

  

2. Detail examination

• 2.1 Small Crown on 6 o'clock is made of 152 points

  With magnifier glasses you can check the crown shape in the 6 o'clock. Real rolex watches have total 152 points to depict the crown shape, 5 branches and 7 points on the head of each branch. The circle on the bottom has 14 points total. Fake rolex watches will not have the same number of points as real rolex watches.

  

• 2.2 The hour hand's move direction for 31XX movement

  The hour hand moves counter-clockwise if you slightly rotate down the adjustment on the side of watch for real rolex 31XX movement for real watches. If the hour hand move in the wrong direction, it 's fake rolex watch.

  

• 2.3 Counterweight on the wheel

  If you open the back case of real rolex watch, you will see counter-weight on the wheel of the movement. For fake watches, you will hardly find the design of counter-weight on the wheel. And this point only applies to several rolex models, e.g. 3135,3235 and so on.

  

• 2.4 Rolex 3135 movement

  Rolex 3135 movement is widely adopted in different Rolex model ranges, which is also considered the base movement. The 3135 movement is 28.5mm in diameter and 6mm in height. For real rolex 3135 movement, you can see clear engraved letters of "3135", "GENEVA SWISS", "ADJ. 5 POSITIONS" on the front of the movement.
