Coach Logo and the Horse and Carriage Sign

The easiest way to tell if your Coach bags are real or fake is to examine the letters of Coach Logo as well as the symbolic horse and carriage sign. The letters "C", "O", "A", "C", "H" on real Coach bags show special characteristics, as you can see from the illustration below. For example, the interior of letter "O" should have the shape of an ellipse, taller in vertical direction. Additionally, you can examine the metal Horse and Carriage sign. The carriage on real coach bags should have clean and clear edges, especially the wheels behind. If you look at the wheels closely, the interior of the carriage wheels is cut-out or hollow out, as illustrated in the upper one real Coach bag in the picture below. But the wheels of carriage on some fake coach bags don't cut out the metals and there is no empty part of the wheels, as illustrated in the lower one of the second fake bag.

The Leather Plate

Another important place to examine is the leather plate of Coach bags. As you can see from the picture below, the upper one is real and the lower one is fake. The "Coach" and "New York" letters are clearly printed on the leather plate, and the black edges around the leather plate are clearly drawed and cutted with equal length of strokes. However, the letters on the leather plate of some fake Coach bags are not clearly printed and not easily recognized. Additional, if you examine the black lines around the plate, the width of stroke is not equal and the leather plate is not cutted smoothly.

The Serial Number and Coach Story Patch

• The Coach Story Patch is a small leather patch inside the coach bag, which contains the story about Coach brand and the serial number of the bags. As you can see from the picture of comparison below. The upper one is from a fake Coach bag and the lower one is from a real Coach Bag. The text of Coach story on the real coach bag (the upper one) is clearly stamped on the leather patch and very easy to read and recognized. But the text of story on the fake Coach patch are not clearly stamped and hard to read and recognized.

The Text on Washing Labels and Origin of Manufacturing

• You can compare the washing labels on fake Coach bags and real Coach bags as illustrated in the picture below. The place of manufacturing will usually be printed on the washing labels. As you can see from the picture below, the text will be printed in the middle of the washing labels on real Coach bags, leaving upper and bottom enough blank spaces. But some fake Coach bags, the text is printed not straight in the middle of washing labels. For example, in the lower one of the picture, the text is printed to close to the top and there is too much space left blank to the bottom, which makes it not symmetric.

Metal Zipper of Coach Bags

• You can also check the metal zipper to tell if your Coach bags are real or fake. The "COACH" and "NEW YORK" letters on real Coach metal zipper are clearly engraved on the zipper and very easy to recognize. But the letters on fake Coach metal zipper is engraved by laser, which may be very shallow and have blurs on the edges.

The Paper Tag with Bar Code

• Another easy tip to tell if your Coach bags are real or fake is to examine the paper tag with the bar code. For real Coach bags, the paper tag and bar code are clearly printed and the ink should be neat and clean, just like the upper one in the picture below. But for some fake Coach bags, the ink on the paper tag and bar code is not clearly printed and you can easily tell the difference if you examine it carefully.
