Trae AI have similar features as its competitors of AI Coding IDEs. But AI coding is a very competitive field, so right now it's still not that outstanding. I will give ait a 4 star rating. And maybe after bytedance puts more resources on promotion it will gain much popularity.

On the Gaia benchmark OpenAI claim that it achieve tremendous improvement over it's competitors such as Gemini and DeepSeek R1. It's still quite expensive features especially that Perplexity have free deep research feature as alternative.
