I actually asked the same question on Perplexity "music festivals in boone north carolina in august", and clicked the sources section and you can also see the detailed search result citations of different websites. So what's the difference between SearchGPT's publisher display and perplexity AI's sources display? To me the difference is negligible. I am still in the waiting list and haven't tried new SearchGPT yet, but I am lowering my expectations now. Maybe the user experience is just too similar to Perplexity. I will have difficulties choosing which plans to buy.
